First, I'm tweeting this so we're okay. We are still without power but have left. Here's the story. I woke up to 15 firefighters in my bedroom. This morning my little one & I woke up super early, ate breakfast, put on piles of clothes and made a fire in the fireplace+went back to bed Our housekeeper came to the house at about 10 am and couldn't wake any of us, including our dog. I don't even remember this ps. Our carbon monoxide alarm was going off but she thought it was a smoke detector so took the battery out. She told @domipaul about 2hrs later She called the police and the fire department came. Literally like 50 people. So apparently, the foot of snow on the chimney...Made the carbon monoxide go back into the house so we're really lucky to be okay.
So we're fine headed to friends house and I am about to enjoy the s*** out of my Starbucks Quad-Grande soy late. 160k w/o power here.
Last thing, if your in an area the loses power regularly, make sure you have a Carbon Monoxide detector and keep new batteries in it.
